800 or 1066?

plan on building PC this xmas.. which memory speed should I get the 800 or 1066Mhz? i want a 4GB kit .. is there a noticeable difference in games with the 2? not concerned about brand at this point.. just wanna know if the speed difference is cost efficient, i see 4GB kits for $60 as opposed to $120 for 1066Mhz. gaming system (i.e. far cry 2, crysis etc, gta 4..)

the difference doesn't justify the price for 1066. you'll be very happy with 800Mhz.

as for motherboard, any suggestions on what to get that supports (1066, 1333)? wanna keep the board in the 150US below US price tag.

look for p45 pro if you want a good sli-enabled c2d/c2q board.

Yep...unless you do some serious overclocking, you'll be just fine with DDR2 800
