ill have a :
4870 x2
300gb velociraptor
q6600
x48 mobo
1 dvd burner
4gb RAM 1066 mhz...
is 880W enough to power up all that?

Good point. With TWO HD 4870X2, it's not enough. With one it's fine.

This list http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex_components.aspx?p=3#ATI Radeon™ HD 4870 X2 shows the PSUs certified for one or two HD 4870X2 cards. For example the Antec 850W or the Hiper 880W appear as certified for one HD 4870X2 but not for two.

If you want to add a second HD 4870X2 later, try getting a PSU that appears on that list with "2" in the "number of cards" column. E.g. Antec Quattro 1000W, Enermax Galaxy EGX1000EWL-DXX, OCZ EliteXstream 1000, PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 1200W, etc.

well you must have special powers or something, that you can come to that conclusion without knowing make/model

that will be fine for a 4870x2 and a 4870 in crossfire just remember that if you get a 4870x2 and a 4850 the 4850 will have to be the 1gig one or it will cut back the memory on the 4870x2 to 512 not unless they changed it

i would add if you can get a corsair for the same price in ur country go for that
