Win XP not see all of 320 GB HDD

I just installed a new harddrive that is 320 GB bios see all 320 GB but disk management only sees 305 GB I was wondering if this is normal? If there is a way to get OS to see the whole 320 GB I would appreciate the info.

Sounds to me like it might be a difference between 320GB in decimal GB = 305GB in power-of-two GB. The two are actually the same. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix
