SIMPLE PARTITION

What exactly did you do yesterday?
Just add a partition to unused portion of existing drive? Did you make it bootable and add an OS? Try to change the location of the c drive or master boot record (it should not let you do this tho)?

What were your drive letters before and after the change?

And what exactly happens now when you try to boot? What lights and fans and components turn on? Any beeps? Can you get to the BIOS?

Enter the BIOS, and now (most likely) you will see (in boot device priority or boot options or whatever it is calld in you BIOS) ANOTHER Hard Drive or maybe will be recognized as a partition or volume select the one you always use and that should do... if not then try the other and that will do

I hav similar problem.....I shrinked my C drive n created another Drive after that all my Partions become "Simple Partition" I don't hav ny Primary Partition but my system is still working....wen I tried to use System Recovery it doesn't work.......

I'm sorry I forgot to say. I hav HP Pavillion DV6 2001AU Laptop with preloaded Windows 7....

At system reboot time you goto bios setup then select boot disk priority,set first disk priority as hard drive then save and exit again reboot.
