What laptop and model # are we talking about in the first place?

Why did you disable the SATA native in BIOS?

What operating system was originally installed on the laptop?

What operating system software came with the laptop, did it come with a set of laptop specific restore disks, or is the operating system restore residing on a hidden HDD partition, or do you actually have a genuine OEM microsoft installation disk?
