Athlon 64 X2 5200+

I'm fairly new to overclocking, but have been considering it for a while as I dont think a BFG 9800gtx+ factory OC / Brisbane 5200+ (2.7GHz) is the best combo for performance.


I'm aiming to keep this cheap as cheap as possible, if I do end up having to spend some money on cooling or a new cpu, but I'd like to see this work if possible.


Would bumping my 5200+ from 2.7 to 3.0 be a good idea with stock cooling?

I bumped my 6000+ 125W Windsor up to 3220Mhz on stock cooling. Try raising the speed slowly and watch the temperatures. Since you have a Brisbane, I'd think it'd be very possible.
