OC Core i7 950

Ive been overclocking my i7, but I am not familiar with it as much as I was with my Q9650. Ive read the thread on this forum about how to OC the i7 but I have some questions about it. I had it running at 4.2Ghz at 1.300 vcore, but as soon as I would run prime 95, I would get the BSOD, is it almost impossible to get it at that speed without hovering around 1.370 vcore? I also had the qpi voltage at 1.250. Ive seen ppl with the i7 920 at 4.2 Ghz but at like 1.4 voltage. It says the absolute max voltage for these cpus is 1.5, but at 1.37 is when you start dangering the life of the cpu. Are there other settings in the bios I need to mess with to get it stable at 4.2?

Im basically trying to get it to be stable at whatever speed it needs to get a 7.9 windows 7 score, thats kind of stupid I know, but I want it to be a 7.9
