It sounds like you have a conflictive driver. What is your video card model and brand?

ive got Geforce 6600GT, and ive tested different drivers, still the same.

You went to the Nvidia site and got the 6 series driver?

Are you sure you have the latest drivers for everything else on your system? Never install drivers from the cd that comes with your hardware unless you cant get online. I always download the lastest and install those from the mfgr website.

Get all of microsofts updates as well and go from there.

well, tried those 6 series drivers also, didnt work either.
i should have latest drivers for everything, maybe videocard is just broken?
altho pc should start then, atleast i think so

Is this a new card? Did you uninstall the previous video drivers? More info please....

Ok, so it worked until you installed the new 6xxx drivers, correct? if so role the drivers back to the drivers that worked.

+1 with englandr753 check nvidia, and MS for updates, what OS are you using?

Reply to nussrods

no nussrods, it didnt work with any drivers. that pc has stood in the corner for a year now, and id like to use it again.
Did format, and after that it just doesnt work with any drivers.

Hope u get my point (im not very good with english:p)

Got your point well. I would recommend you get your hands on a different video card and see if it works. Is the video card you are trying to install now new? If so, try to return it to the retailer and tell them its not working correctly and switch for a different card.

You're not being dishonest in my opinion, you have tried what should work.
