My current system is: Sapphire 4850, Opteron 165 (overclocked to 2.3 ghz), 80gb eide drive, 2gb Corsair pc3200 ddr, Windows XP SP3, Audigy 2ZS sound card, Catalyst 8.8.
I've just upgraded my video (used to have an EVGA 7950 GX2). Anyway, I'm really impressed with the speed improvement of the 4850 - it shows with Marvel Ultimate Alliance game at the highest settings.
I have two problems:
1. My Creative Media Labs Media player quit working. The sound for the games still work, but I get an immediate error when executing Creative Labs Media player - I use it to play MP3's because it makes the music sound better.
2. The quality of the graphics in Diablo II isn't as good as the NVidia - there are weird colored shadows in the dark areas of the game which follow the character arround - hard to explain.
Anyway, I'm not experiencing any crashes but they are still anoying - has anyone experience these issues - and if so, how did you resolve them? Thanks.
