Recently my graphics card burned out and I am searching for a mid range card (sub $100) that can handle games like Cs source, WoW, etc. My brother suggested I get the Radeon HD 4670. I dont know much about computers and he says I have a PCI express x16 1.0 and that the card goes in a 2.0 slot but hes pretty sure it still fits. Will this work? Will it affect the performance of the card not being able to use the 2.0 slot? If it will not what would you suggest I get for a mid range card with my PCI-express x16 slot?

It will fit just use a hammer. Just kidding.

Yes, it will fit no problem. Don't worry about the 2.0, it is backward compatible.

PCIe 2.0 video cards are backwards-compatible, so you can fit them in a PCIe 1.0 motherboard slot and it will work just fine. what 2.0 does is give the video cards a bigger bandwidth, but ur card wont even come close to using up all that bandwidth anyway.

oh ok thanks. That card that I want is out of stock though, are there any other cards I could get for a similar price that are just as good?
