Okay, I have build it just *randomly* crashes.. now I have tried alot and I cannot figure out what's causing it.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Q9450
Mobo: XFX Nvidia 790i
VCard: XFX GTX 280
Power supply: Coolermaster 1250W
Ram: DDR3 Corsair 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 (2x 2GB sticks)
Asus DVD Burner
Western Digital 300GB Velociraptor

Additional info: Random keyboard, G9 logitech mouse, coolermaster aquagate max lcs.

I have re-placed the HDD (from standard to the raptor)
re-installed the o/s
run mem diagnostics
run memtest
downloaded all the latest drivers
switched the rams dimm slots
run with both sticks of ram, and only one stick
flashed the bios (which actually ruined the board - so I sent it back and got a new one)

Anyone got any ideas? Any help will be appreciated.

That's why I keep advising
Stay away from nForce chipset mobos including the latest 790i
Stay away from DDR3 cause having issues and will shine with Nehalem

get X48 mobo and DDR2, can not say more

You say you ran memtest, but you did not say how many passes or if it passed or not.

You say randomly crashes but no indication of how much.
Will it run an hour without crashing?
What do you mean by crashing? Blue screen? Reboot? Hard Lock?

If you are really "not a noob" as you say you should know enough to be far more informative.
