Graphic Card recommendation for my System

hello guys!
my first post here so excuse me for any mistakes

ive been using an old P4 system and now ive decided to upgrade it.im not a hard core gamer but im an amateur Graphics and Multimedia developer.so after a bit of researching ive decided to go for a Intel Q6600.
a p35 or p45 mobo and 2 gb DDR2.

now here is where i need you help.
i have no idea which graphic card should i go for,which one suites my needs and which supp. my system config.!
like i mentioned earlier my primary need is for SW's such as 3ds maya etc.and then a little or more of gaming.

and can you comment on my sys config. also.

Sounds like a decent budget configuration. Get SATA hard drive and burners. Low cost, low power graphic card from your description sounds like a HD4670 for @ $80
