I just finished building my new PC. The only problem is that I can't get my wirless card to work...
Whenever I plug in my network card into the PCI slot, Windows Vista (64 bit) won't finish booting.
I've been trying everything I can think of to get it working but im outta ideas. The Motherboard is a Gigabyte (GA-X48-DS4) and the wireless card is a D-Link (DWL-G520). Is there a setting that isn't configured correctly? HELP!
IF your wireless card is the "revision A" model:
It looks as if there are no drivers for that card, and indeed it's a discontinued item that will never get a driver from D-Link.
Ya, I tried that, but for some reason the install program doesn't run. Windows lets it get about 20% through the initial "install shield" start up and then the program just quits.
In the extract from Dlink, there is a folder with all the drivers. Is there a way to just copy these to a specific location in Windows so they are recognized?
