Hello

I have a 37" LG HDTV , I've connected my PC to the TV via the S-Video to AV of the TV (my card is 8600GT) but found the quality is bad (specially in games) is this because of the s-video ? if I used the RGB output (the one used in CRT) as my TV supports it, will I get good quality ?!

System: P4 3 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, Win XP SP3 , 8600GT 512MB

no

you as far as i know s-video doesn't out put in a HD format

if you want good quality your going to have to buy an DVI to HDMI adpater (most new gpus have one, my 4870 did) and then set the out put resolution in windows

RBG will work too, and will give you roughly the same IQ as HDMI in 720p

RGB looks real good. I run my 42" on RGB.

the problem seems to be the s-video. from what i know, s-video's max resolution is 480i, which is not by any means impressive. the RGB input would give far better image quality. also check if your tv has HDMI. then you could buy a DVI-HDMI cable and connect it like that. that would give the best possible image quality.
