okie so this case got 3 fans already in it... the back for exhaust... the front for intake, and then side for i think intake or exhaust i cant tell...
theres a spot for the bottom the side and the top to add another fan... if i add another fan would this be intake or exhaust? cause it fits both dirrections and i dun wanna confuse the airflow in there...
also the 3d card's fan points down as well as the cooler (cause this mobo i got and the artic cooler 7 will only fit in that direction...
i have one fan that im thinking of putting on op of this case... so would this be intake or exhaust. thanks!!
Bummer about the Arctic Cooler... so the fan is on the top pushing air downwards? That's a problem... you don't really want to have hot air blowing out the front.
Would it be possible to take the fan off and turn it around, so that it's puling air through the cooler? This would not be as efficient for the CPU cooling, but better considering the fan would not be fighting the others.... you would have to check temps under load carefully of course.
I have the same case and love all the cooling. I put a spare 80mm and a 90mm fan on the top, at least until I can get a few 140mm's to fill the extra spots. The side fan is intake and so is the front. I can't figure out what size fan will fit in the bottom holder. Both a 120mm and a 140mm won't fit. I am giong to have to tak it out. As far as new fan placement goes... put the bottom fan as intake because you don't want the extra heat going straight to your power supply from the GPU and CPU fans. Once you have that in it will blow the hot air upwards. Just make sure that you have some good exhaust fans on top and you should be okay. I don't currently have a bottom fan, just the two extra top fans but my CPU and GPU stay very cool. If you did however decide to put the bottom fan as exhaust (which would work fine also, but not as good) just make sure your case isn't sitting straight on carpet so the fan will have a place to blow out.
there's some good stuff in there. The biggest thing is adding an intake fan on the front drive bays, either by zip tying one or buying one of those cage converter things.
