I just unlocked the 4th core on my X3 720be, stock fan/hs, in a Antec300, fired up prime95 and my cpu temp is 58*C Everest Ult. So far so good after 1 hr ....
Is that too high? What would be a good, safe range?

I was planning on a mild OC, but figure a new hs/fan would be in order.
Thanks in Advance! :hello:

That's a good temperature for a quad core running prime 95...nice and cool

For heatsink would reccomend Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer

I just installed a Samurai Scythe Zz on my 710x3, and I am thoroughly impressed (especially got it on sale for $22CAD). I hope to have a mini review for it done up in a few days for Ovaclockers.com. :D

I have noticed very sizable drops from the stock cooling in my temp benchmarks so far.

Oh and don't forget to go into amd overdrive to under volt and clock your 4 core incase your chip is miscut and not just a disabled core
