I'm wondering if someone can tell me the difference (besides the
obvious) between the Sony Grand Wega KF50WE610 and the Grand Wega
KF50WE620. The 610 has black trim around the edge of the screen which
I actually like better than the all silver 620. The sales guy tells
me that the 610 is an older model, but I can't find any reference on
the net. In fact, www.sony.ca says that they are all out of the the
620 and they don't even list the 610?
I am also somewhat concerned about the potential lamp problem that
I've read the sony may be prone to. I've read that any units produced
after January 04 are good? Can someone confirm this and tell me how
you can tell when it was produced? I've read it is by serial number,
but is there a range?
All things being equal, I like the black trim better and it is a bit
cheaper, but I don't want to take a chance with the defective lamp
problem if the "newer" one does not have it.
Help please lurking sony experts!
