I am looking to update my system, and have a few questions.

I have an Antec LifeStyle SONATA II w/ a Truepower II 380w power supply.

Will the below system work with this?

Also will the onboard graphics be ok for an office machine? Or should I get a Video Card?

Its been 8 years since I built my last system with only a processor upgrade about 3 years ago.

Trying to do this as cheap as possible, but would like a motherboard that can take a better processor later on if needed.

thanks in advance.

I don't know about the PSU... the EA380W would work, I'm unsure on that one. Probably OK, unless it's really old.... they do wear out.

The graphics will be OK for office apps.

Vista 32 will not be able to access all 4Gb of memory. It will see it, but some addresses will not be available to the system. I suspect you will have access to well over 3Gb in this system however, so keep the RAM. (it's a great price.)

At 640GB WD is usually better:

I'm building a similar system on the same board. I have a 375W PSU and I'm not able to get the system to POST. It powers up for a couple seconds and shuts back down. I'm searching for clues and trying to troubleshoot it - Don't know for sure it's the PS or not, I may have connected something up wrong. I used the AMD64X2 5000+ processor, I also have 2 DVD drives, and the old PATA drive connected to copy it.
I built 2 other systems on similar ASUS boards, one a X2 4600 and one an X2 4800+; both dual DVD's AND dual HD's, exact same case/PSU's, and no trouble.
I have had many, many problems with both WD and Maxtor HDs. After 4 RMAs on one Maxtor, I'm not touching another. I've been using Seagate with pretty good luck, but now they are made in China I'm wary, especially since they cut the warranty. I have a couple Samsungs and had some in the past that have never given me trouble. Just my 2 cents worth.

I found the problem after I took the whole thing apart - There must be a tiny short in the case power switch or wire; The board thinks the switch is always on. I tested it with a 3V continuity tester and it isn't even enough to light that up. but if I put the reset switch on the power sw pins, it works perfectly...and connecting the power switch to the reset pins immediately resets it.

Maybe this will help someone else!
Also looks like I mis-typed...My configuration is:
Biostar GF8100 board
AMD 64X2 6000+
2 Gb Corsair RAM
Soundblaster 24 PCI
2x DVD-RW
1x Samsung 500G S-ATA
1x Seagate 250G P-ATA (temporary)
1x Mitsumi floppy/USB card reader combo
Apevia X-QPack case
