I've heard the CNPS10X Extreme is quite tall and may hve some clearence issues. Anyone have this cooler that can vouch for it. If found a stat that says it's 160mm tall.

I'm worried that I'll get interference if I use the AZZA Fantom 900 case. Especially due to the side fan. Any ideas whether these will interfere or not? Any idea how wide a case will have to be to fit a 160mm tall cooling unit?

Can you do some measurements? From the top of the CPU chip to the edge of your case? Then minus the fan? Measure from the center of the CPU to each edge of the case structure? Measure from the center of the CPU outward to the top of your memory? Then measure the height of your memory.

With these in hand and hopefully the manufacturer gives you measurement specs you should be just fine to see if it fits.

There are a billion cases out there, thats your biggest issue. Also, motherboards don't put the CPU exactly in the same place, or the memory slots.

The case you mention is 8.1" deep. Not bad. Take away 25mm for the side fan what do you get?

You can find a million " to mm converters on the web. Don't forget to measure the distance from the back of the case to the top of the CPU chip. I'd say 15 cm isn't a bad guestimmate.

Just read somewhere that there's approximately 130mm clearance, not enough for that cooler. I think that's a little conservative. I think it's more like 140.
