Hello, I have purchased almost all components for my new build. My ? is, My motherboaed is an MSI P6N diamond 680i and my Proc is an Q6600 quad. I read some reviews that have said that you should use a single or dual core proc in order to be able to download the current bios for the quad core proc. I am wondering if this is true or is it alright to install the quad. I am using Vista ultimate 64 bit OS. Any help would be very appreciated!

I don't think it will hurt to try. Worst case would be the CPU would be undervolted and not run.

I would not have chosen that board though. Looks like it's discontinued... that's a bad sign.
