Hello there.

I am in need of advice. I'm desperate to see if there's any kind of solution to my problem and I can accept that my card is broken if I really have to. My ATI Sapphire x1950 pro has stopped working. I will explain. I think the power supply was far too low (250w) for the graphics card and somehow it's stopped working. I was playing a game and the screen went black and I was unable to turn the machine back on. I've upgraded the power supply to a 650w but I fear this might be too late? Does anyone have any idea why it has stopped working completely or any way I could fix this? I have had to put my old graphics card back in... sigh... I really hope it's not broken and that someone can assist me.

Any more information I can give should you need it.

Thank you so much.

You could test it in another system to make sure that it's really defective. If so, a used one should now be pretty cheap.

I tried it on another machine. The machine turns on but nothing happens... no boot up, no messages. Monitor doesn't come on, just stays with orange light. Is it broken??

Thanks very much.

If the symptoms are identical in two systems, then it's broken. The solution is to buy another one or RMA it if it still is under warranty.
