Installing Seagate's SeaTools on Ubuntu

I'm not having any luck installing either the Linux CLI version or the Enterprise RPM package.

The CLI I just don't know what to do with. My system identifies the st file as an executable, but I can't get it to run.

Alien won't install the i386.rpm package on my i7 920, which Ubuntu identifies as amd64.

Anyone have any experience with this?
