Well the last week or two my computer randomly restarted once and awhile. But the other day when i went to turn it on it just restarted after the being on for only 5-10 seconds. Nothing shows up on the screen and it continues to restart untill i turn the power supply off. When it starts up the fan on my 8800 also spins really fast before shut down.

Any one know what could possibly be wrong with it? I'm thinking maybe hardware failure but not sure what. Ive tried only using one piece of ram with no change.

Thanks.

I'm running
P35C-DS3R
e6600
crucial 8500 2gb
8800gts 640mb
corsair 620watt psu

if you got spare parts you can sub it to diagnose the problem, I'd start with the PSU or GPU, then continue from there.

It's pretty hard to diagnose systems that don't POST as it could be a number of hardware issues.

If your mobo beeps, check out the beep codes. If not, you'll need to figure out which part of the system is causing it not to POST.

It really is easier if you have some parts to use to sub in, or another system to try parts in (a friends computer perhaps).
