This is what I have so far in my order. I chose Micro ATX because I am more than normally cramped for space right now. I currently have an Nvidia 8800 to throw in as well as 4G of Ram (cant remember the brand off the top of my head). These will be replaced within 6 months. As far as the rest, I want a gaming machine that will carry me at least 18-24 months. If anyone sees anything I missed please yell at me as I have been out of the loop for a while here and trying to brush up as I go. Thanx again guys!

Replace the Antec 850 with this PCP&C 750W and that Gigabyte Galaxy II Liquid cooler with a real one like this Swiftech cooling loop.
Everything else looks OK.

What 8800 card do you have and which resolution do you game at?
The 8800 lineup is still more than enough power for many systems at moderate resolutions.
If you really want to upgrade it, a pair of 4850/4870's or a 4870x2 will treat you nice.

Agreed about the PSU - 850 is a lot of extra power and PCP&C is a great brand.

i was under the impression that if i went with the lower power supply i wouldnt be able to handle the 4850(2 of them crossfire) and i was even thinking about doing the 4570X2..

also wil that cooling system fit in my case?

The PCP&C has 60A on the +12v rail VS 64A for the Antec and is higher quality.
It will have absolutely no problems running 48X0 Cf or a 4870x2.

The Swiftech kit is designed to have the radiator mounted outside the case.
That is where you want it anyways otherwise it will pollute your case with all the heat it is meant to remove.
I would HIGHLY recommend it over your listed Gigabyte kit.
Those cheap plastic all in one water coolers are nothing but trouble.

huron, you go to Eastern Michigan?
Fun place.
I used to do the FIRST robotics competitions out of there.

lord of the rings is the big one now but i would like to pick up some new single player stuff if i get a chance.

looks like im swapping the power supply...any idea if it can handle dual 4870x2 in crossfire!! :) (wishful thinking)

OFFICIAL UPDATE

4870x2 Cf....
Erm, not a clue.
It has the required connectors and is certified for a single x2 on ATI's page.
All of the certified x2 Cf PSU's are 900W+.
If it can run two of them, it will probably be running at close to maximum output.

At your resolution, even a single 48X0 should be more than enough.
If you get one 48X0x2, I believe you can get your 2 years out of the system.
