Hi Well I got a Seagate ST3750330AS Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s 750-GB Hard Drive.

I been wanting to do Raid 0 for a while so I was looking for some of the same drives as mine,it turns out they are deactivated but I found one online from other world computing. So I ordered the drive which was the same model number as mine. Well I got an Email and it turns out Im getting a newer model which is the Seagate ST3750528AS Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 3Gb/s 750GB Hard Drive.

I called Other world computing to tell them and they basically said that Raid 0 should work out fine but I have heard the Raid 0 works better with the same harddrive.

So Im wondering will my performance be effected.....would it be harder to set up or is it all just basically the same.

Here's the links to the drives ST3750330AShttp://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.j...M100000f5ee0a0aRCRD#tTabContentSpecifications

ST3750528AS

As you can see everything is pretty much the same except for power and the weight.

Thanks for your help.

if it was an older drive maybe there would be a difference in a benchmarking test but as the drive is a newer model, it will be the old drive holding back the array if anything.
