hi, i have just over clocked my first intel system and i'm wondering if my o/c is safe and wont burn out,
here is my sys spec:

cpu: Pentium Dual Core E5300@3.4ghz (1.28v core)
Mobo: Gigabyte 945GCM-S2L (Fsb-265mhz)
RAM: 1.5gb ddr2 667mhz @ 704mhz
GFX: 9600gt 512mb @ stock (650/1600/1800) (zalman vf900-cu-led cooler)
PSU: Basic CIT 500w

The max temperatures i have seen are 48*c using everest system stress for 10mins with a stock intel cooler, the last thing i want is for damage to happen while gaming so im asking those experienced if this is safe??

p.s what modern games would this system be capable of playing?

all replies are appreciated :D

the 9600gt i have is at stock of 650mhz core speed and a memory speed of 1.8ghz, i can run it at 700mhz for the core and 2ghz for the mem before this card gets unstable. i have fitted ram sinks to as the sonic version has as standard.

i answered my own question today, i did a test with farcry 2 and cod world at war and the cpu was unstable due to not enough cpu core voltage but im not risking to up the voltage with a stock intel cooler so i have settled for 2.933ghz perfectly stable untill i get can get adaquet cooling.
farcry 2 was only playable in medium settings at 12x10 but cod waw ran fine at 16x12 maxed.

i always make sure im earthed since i fried a 6600gt a few years back :pt1cable:
