wat is 3dmark 06? ive heard so much about it. is it overclocking software and wat are da scores all about?

Check out futuremark's website. 3d mark 06 is basically just a benchmarking tool that gives your CPU and GPU a score based on graphical tests and other cool things. I'm sure others can explain it better than i can.

To answer Milk's question, the scores are about nothing because 3DMark06 is not a game. The only scores you need are the framerates for the games you actually play. If the gameplay isn't smooth enough to your liking then it's time to upgrade your GPU or CPU or both. If that isn't an option for your wallet, the only other alternative is to downgrade. Sell your 19 inch LCD, buy a used 15 inch CRT, and the framerates become amazing!
