specs

I7 920 Not the DO version
Asus P6t motherbaord
6 GB DDR 3 1066Mhz
ATI radeon 4870x2
2 X 500 GB HDD
Windows vista ultimate 64 bit

The system is OC from 2.66Ghz to around 3.7Ghz the temps are all stable and well with in limit and the CPU seems stable after running stress tests. however now and then when the PC is turned on the PC comes up with "Over clocking failed"

Upon a restart after this all if fine again

does anyone have any ideas ?

I had the same problem with a X4 955, and the solution was this.

 

Enter to the BIOS, see some configuration BUT don't change anything, save and reboot the PC.

No if the PC is simply turned off then rebooted its fine when u look at the bios and come out it restarts the PC anyway. its not really a solution just a quick fix like rebooting the PC which works atm

ooo ok what do u think they should be at ?? i did think it could be a memory issue but didnt wana say to make u guys biased

Um.. find the exact part number of your memory, go to their website, cross the part number of your memory to their specification, and then it will tell you the percise specifications that your memory should be set too. For ex, 1.6V @ 8 Cas Latency...
