E8400 Not OC'ing like it used to.

My E8400 just don't seam to OC like it used to.

I'll give you the Scoop, or more like the Shovel !


Here,s all my specs.

At the moment of coarse and ever since a few months ago I've bean at 3.0GHz.


Now then.


I used to run 3.6GHz and 3.75GHz at 9xm and 1600MHz fsb and 1667fsb or whatever it was for 3.75, i forget.

anyway.


It ran great,no crashes or anything,RAM at 1333MHz 6-6-6-18 1.75v. and CPU v-auto


Now,I try 16--fsb for 3.75GHz intel Burn test Crashes. Try 3.6GHz it crashes, try lower the Ram timings 7-7-7-22 Crashes,up the RAM v-1.85 Crashes, Up the CPU v-1.375 Crashes.

is it Win 7 64? or Intel Burn?




I heard a CPU can get Harder and Harder to OC , is that true? like do they ware out?


Also, when I got my RAM, it worked Fine at 1333MHz 1.75v 6-6-6-18, Now, it wont boot at 6-6-6-18, I'm at 1066 6-6-6-20 1.8v whats up with that, I could go something 1333mhz, but I left it default but uped the v 1.8 rather then 1.5v.


any Ideas ?

Nope.

I got it now.

Must have bean Intel Burn and Win 7.

Running ok now at 3.6GHz 7-7-7-20 auto v CPU and 1.8v Ram.
