Hey guys

As it stands right now I have a slipstream fan on the mugen 2 which is a standard 25mm. However I wanna mount an ultra kaze instead which is 38mm thick. The metal wire pieces that hold the fan which came with it won't hold a 38mm (unless you bend them I guess?) I was wondering if I got strong metal wire from a hardware store, put it through the whole and secure it tightly on the screws on the heatsink will that work or would it cause vibrations no matter how tight it is?

At this point I welcome any suggestions.

Probably can't hurt to try, as long as you are careful. If vibration is a concern, get some thin glue-back rubber weatherstripping, cut it to size with a razor, and use on the mounting points between the new fan and the heatsink.
