When buying a intel dual core CPU (like the E5200 45nm), should I look at mobos for intel core 2 duo mobos that support 45nm?
Or do only a few mobos support them? Then my market is quite small no?
It's simple go to the mobo manufacturers website and check for compatibility and the BIOS required for that compatibility. Make sure you get a mobo with that revision or higher.
This thing is driving me completely crazy. Been looking at asus mobos for hours, G31 boards mostly because they are the cheapest.
But it doesn't seem to be specified whether they support intel dual core processors. Like the p5kpl-cm on Asus site: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=563&l4=0&model=2068&modelmenu=2
Still people seem to run just those mobos with e5200...
Do all asus p5kpl support my CPU even if they don't mention it in the specs huh...?
