I haven’t been on this forum long but one thing I have noticed is that most of the CPU talk is about these three CPUs. And no one can come up with a conclusive answer.... so vote for you favourite.

I’m guessing the assumed usages is games, internet, word processing etc. and that the processor will be overclocked.

Tell us what you think....

I would have to say the E8400. Its overclock and its ability to game is better makes it my winner. The Quads may beat it in multi threaded apps but most PC users would never take true advantage of it anyways.

I guarantee you when the owners of the E8400 find themselves having to upgrade those quad core owners will be in the same boat. There is no such thing is future proof.
