which one will provide better cooling? will either stick out beyond the end of the card? i have a 120mm intake fan right at the end and the pcie plug barely fits. i can control the current fan on my evga via ntune or rivatuner. in order to keep temps in check, i have to turn fan way up which makes it real noisy. the last after market vga cooler i bought was for my 6800gt agp card from artic cooling. it is still in use today and kicks butt. neither one of the ones above will blow the hot air out the back of the case like my 6800gt does though.
also, i have only one free slot so anything bigger will not work. thanks for your help.

I can't comment on those two, but I'm thrilled with the results I got with the Zalman VF-900 CU on my pair of 8800GT (s). Temps and noise were greatly reduced over the original reference 8800GT coolers.

thanks for input pauldh. i just ordered the vf1000 since it was on sale for the same price as the vf900. i saw a couple reviews and the size will not be an issue. it's supposed to offer better cooling than the vf900 but we'll see when it gets here.
fyi, do you use the included fan mate2 or just use software to adjust fan speed automatically? with the stock cooler i use rivatuner to adjust when playing games and hopefully i can do the same with this zalman plugged into the card.
