Hi,

I'm looking for some advise in order to decide if I need a cpu cooler. I'm not planning in the near future (however you never know) to overclock the cpu.

My new build uses a AM3 AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955. Initially I bought a CNPS9700 LED, but the AMD mounting clip was missing, so I had to return the cooler. I'm now thinking to use the stock cooler.

Does anyone has any expirience with this cooler and if it is sufficient (not overclocking), apart from the noise ?

The AMD manual says the stock cooler has already applied termal grease. Is it advisable to remove to add more ?

Many thanks

Just plug the hsf in and it should work

the coolers are designed to run at stock
