Rampage ii Extreme lcd poster and ai suite giving diff. temps

I have the Rampage II extreme and up until like 2 days ago everything was fine but then I remember installing far cry 2 and now when not overclocking my lcd poster displays a temp. about 8-10 degrees higher than the asus ai suite and then when i overclock it the lcd poster displays a temp. about 5-7 degrees lower than the asus ai suite. I have tried clearing the cmos taking out the cmos battery. So if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

also if it makes any difference the last thing i remember doing before this happened is i installed far cry 2

It's not unusual to find different temp monitoring software programs that display different temperatures. Sometimes this is because some pieces of software have the Tjmax incorrect.

I would think the Asus software would read from the BIOS correctly. But then again, although I like Asus motherboards, I have never enjoyed their software.
