I am looking for an X2 and found this one on their site for $488.22. My question is can this site be trusted?

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=AT-4870X2&c=fr&pid=d466e5a3866e92c3f2c4e8b372892527c59d828bdda09d3028a27f836c51e045

They dont give you the true price until you click add to cart, once you do it says this:

"Occasionally manufacturers require that products be advertised at their suggested retail price. When NewBiiz works to bring you a great deal on the product and decides to sell items for less than the suggested price, the sale price can only be shown here.

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 2GB DDR5 2DVI PCI-Express Video Card, Retail

MSRP: $634.80
You Saved: $146.58

$488.22"

What do you guys think? And is Sapphire a good brand?

Sapphire is above average, but i'd buy the card with the 5 year warranty over one without a warranty at all.

If you decide to keep the GPU for 5 years, thats only 30$ a year for warranty - GPUs do have a failure rate higher than some components because of heat production/maintenance requirements, so having a warranty is very worthwhile.

eWiz/Newbiz/Superbiz is a trustworthy retailer. I've ordered several things through them and all have come in super condition. Can't help you on the card, though, but if it has no warranty, I'd stay away from it.

I bought that Sapphire card on day of release. The price should be only $550 for the card. You are still getting it cheaper.

I love my 4870x2 and recommend the Sapphire to anyone just because of the software bundle that comes with it.

I bought mine from mwave.

I ordered a 4870x2 from Newbiz/Ewiz, and was pretty pissed when I got it. They had almost no packing material inside the box, and it was only a little bit on TOP. Would it have hurt them to put something below the expensive electronic? I almost had to send the part back, as the box was dented, and the plastic form the video card in was damaged too. Luckily the card worked fine, and appeared to be about a hairs length away from getting bashed in.

Edit in bold.

visiontek is the only ati manufacturer that does lifetime warranty.

I got mine from best buy preorder for $469 online

As stated warranty is pretty important and one year is pretty short

I saw that pre-order from Best Buy when it came out, I did not have the funds at the time to make that purchase. I guess I really like the price but I am worried about the warranty.

Hey guys, I just got it in and it looks fine to me. The package has air bubble wrap on top and the box seems to be in good order. Came pretty quick if you ask me!
