Replacing old 2.66ghz P4 that I use for basic tasks and DVD encoding. I am doing this in two phases. I am looking to see if the components will match and are good.

Phase 1 - Replace system and use exising CRT monitor
Phase 2 - New video and monitor. Add hard drive, memory and possibly optical drive.

Do you have a budget? If not why not add in a video card like a 4850.

Motherboard:That mobo used to be good and still is, its just that theres the new p45 chipset so I recommend this:

High end features but not for a high end price.

Video Card: I don't know how big your budget is so i'll tell you both options

Low: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102770

High:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131117

PSU:Good Psu's are so cheap right now why not just get a 500w one?

Case:TT's agood brand but that case looks fugly.

This is a bit confusing. Are you saying you are going to use your present video card for now?

You list the P5K board and then say it's because you need analog video support... That board has no onboard video.

I doubt you would ever need a 750W, given your PC usage. This is an excellent Pc P&C at a good price:

That would probably last you for many years.

I believe he will upgrade his GPU and monitor in the near future - he said he'd do it in two steps.

PC Power and Cooling is a good choice. I would definitely go with larger than a sub-400w PSU, but you probably won't need 750w unless you plan on some heavy GPUs in there.
