specs is in my sig, my motherboard chipset is 780G

i am underclocking my PC and i want to lower the voltage on my NB, i was wondering what does NB voltage affect? is it safe to lower it? will it save power?

the power savings will be barley noticeable. the northbridge voltage controls the ability to clock the FSB and the IGP (integrated graphics processor). i would suggest not lowering it unless you are underclocking the IGP as well as the FSB, for it could negatively affect on stability.

AMD's chipsets are very power efficient as it is, so like daft said, you wouldn't see much of a benefit, and like he said, you may compromise the stability of your computer.
