hello

am using c2d e8400
xfx 9800 gt 512 mb
asus p5ql pro mobo
4 gb normal ram
320 hdd
using cooler master extreme 500 w

is that enough for the specs??

and sometimes i can hear electric buzzing sound from my psu i believe.... even after computer is turned off

what is the problem?

well you can check for dust bunnies or you can bench the innards and chase down the problem from there..:)

Buzzing comes from a malfunctioning PSU.

Replace it.

To be on safe side go with something with more power too.

This one is decent.

Get a unit with Active PFC
I recommend a unit with a single 12v rail; but if you find something that costs a little less with multiple rails make sure that all of the 12v rails supply at least 18 amps.
Antec, PC Power & Cooling and silverstone are good PSU manufacturers.
