PC Won't Post....Why?

I just put together a PC for one of my friends last night. I hooked everything up and double checked to make sure i didn't miss anything. When i went to boot it, all the fans turn on and the red light on the motherboard turns on but there is no post. No beep or anything. I've tried removing everything from the case and booting just the motherboard to make sure there wasnt a short somewhere and I even took out the battery from the motherboard for a period of time but neither trial resulted in a post. I dont know whats going on with it?? Oh, and the board has integrated graphics so i dont need a video card. Any ideas to help?

A little more information would help. List the following; cpu, ram, mb, hdd, psu.

AMD 4850e, G. Skill 2x2GB, Seagate Barracuda 250GB, Abit AN-M2HD, Antec 500 watt PSU

Did you make sure the memory is compatible with that mainboard?
That has happened to me and once I used a different stick or ram it booted fine.
