Can a switch be used as a hub?

I read through the FAQ thread, and read that switches have almost replaced hubs, but I'm still confused on a specific yes or no. I understand the difference between them, but from the sound of it, it likes like a switch can indeed be used as a hub. Though I bet someone would be rich if they had a penny for every time they heard someone say that.
