I am thinking of getting a new pc. Here are the specs.

intel core 2 duo e8400 3ghz.
asus ramage extreme or rampage formula
corsair dominator 4gb (2x2gb)
seagate or WD 2x300gb.
hd 4870x2 VGA
dvd burner

I might use another 4870x2 in the future in crossfire,

is a 700w PSU enough for this build? or 750w? What would be a good PSU for this priced less than $150.

Also what would be the better casing, nzxt tempest or the antec 1200??

Will these two casings have enough room for suggested PSU's??

I personally like the Antec 1200, and it has a lot of air moving in there.

They are certainly big enough for the PSU.

I think the 700w or 750w will be OK for a 4870x2, but will be close. I don't think you can run 2 4870x2 on that kind of PSU.

You can get a PC Power and Cooling 750w for something like 85 (after rebate) at newegg.com and microcenter.com

Splendid
for 2 4870x2s you'll need something closer to 1kW to be on the safe side.

4870x2 uses 270W tops, 100W for the cpu (more for quads and heavy overclocking), 10-15W for every HDD, some watts for each fan and 20-30% safety margin and it totals close to 800W for the 12V rails alone for a quadfire system

I would get something close to 850W PSU like the Antec Signiture series. Also in terms of cases you are comparing apples and oranges. A fair comparison is the Tempest and Antec 900 because they are both mid tower. Have you seen the Coolermaster ATCS 840, that has to be the nicest full tower case I have ever seen?

The signature series is rather expensive for what they are...
If you were going xFire HD4870x2's i would get this

If you know you are only going to use 1 HD4870x2 then corsair 620w or 750w would be a nice match up.

And i dont know why anyone would get the Antec1200 when you can get the Antec900 for ~$50 less

OR

the Lian Li A70B for ~$40 more...
