Make sure your power supply can support it:

ATI Radeon HD 4850 System Requirements

450 Watt or greater power supply with 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended (550 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)
Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of Certified products.

Cool, Newegg has them for $139 too after $20 rebate w/free shippng on the Asus and you get a free game. No tax.

No tax for you, maybe.

I live in Memphis, TN. I get most things I order next day (with the default shipping option) if it comes from the Memphis warehouse, but I get taxed no matter which warehouse it comes from.

Funny but thats exactly what it says on the ATI site about the 3800 series as well. Now it dosent take a genius to know something isnt quite right when they are claiming the need for the same amount of power for a card that draws about 80 watts and one that draws about 110 watts, thats 6.6 Amps or 9.1. So either they are way over estimating the 3800 cards or letting the 4800 cards run close to the edge. My guess is they are way overestimating both.

I just went to best buy's website and they have the 4870 for $250 plus you get a $10 gift card. The funniest part is that every time I go in my local best buy is that they have an 8600gts right out front on display for $279.
