Hi Everybody,

A friend gave me an AMD K9N Sli platinium and Im planning to replace the 3800+ he gave me, too.

Is this an AMD 5000+ Black Edition ? http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00078956.html
Is there a way to be sure ? The box does not seem to be the one in toms hardware review : http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] ,1708.html

No, I do not believe it is a black edition.
The version you are looking for with the unlocked multiplier says "Black Edition" plainly on the box.

Don't think so. Its got green on the box, and seems to come with TIM. The black edition should come in an all black box, and won't come with TIM or a heatsink. It's probably just a normal 5000+.

Black Editions come in an All Black Box and its clearly marked as Black Edition and the CPU would be 5000+BE

is it still a good deal as I could get an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ for 84,89 € or an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 75,89 €
