Alright there's two PSUs that Newegg is pushing in their 60% off sale:

OCZ StealthXStream 600w - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] _-17152036

and

Raidmax Hybrid 2 RX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] _-17152036

The Raidmax is $15 more after shipping costs, would it be worth the extra money? I notice that the Raidmax is modular, which would be nice due to all of the stuff going on in my Antec 900. I know Raidmax makes some pretty nice higher-end cases (Smilidion), but do they make decent PSUs?

Any insight on this would be great. Here's the Slickdeals page for the PSUs

OCZ - http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=930076

Raidmax - Scroll down, couldn't find any other page besides this page http://promotions.newegg.com/NEema [...] -_-NA-_-NA

As far as what I need a new PSU for, I plan on making a big GPU upgrade, along with adding some more HDDs and possibly some other stuff, right now my PSU is just enough to power everything.

Bump, this deal probably won't be lasting much longer.

mm well if i had to get one of the two i would get the OCZ just because it has more reviews. but then again i would not get ether of those unless that was all that i could afford. do you really need a new psu and if so why?

Because I'm about to throw in 1-2 more HDDs and a 4870 in a month or two. They're both awesome deals and it seems like now's the time to upgrade, so that I won't be spending $100 instead of $38.

Raidmax units are not the best quality, and can be a bit flimsy. Between them, the OCZ unit is the better buy.

Also consider PCP&P 610w unit. The price listed does not include the 20%($22) off. If counted in, the price is similar to your existing choices, while being a far better unit.

I concur!

I should point out that the OCZ is only $38 with shipping if you apply the code. The Raidmax is $39 with $11 dollar shipping when applying the code. So I'll go with the OCZ then, because for $38 it's hard to beat.

Iv got the ocz stealthXstream 600w. Its a good quality power supply, iv never had any problems with it at all so i cant recommend it enough, iv used it in a number of builds and have yet to find any limitations.
Im using it to power a fairly fully loaded system and iv never had any issues.

Be wary of modular power supplies as the resistance of the cables increases the more they are attached/detached.

I have the same PSU and its powering the system in my sig. It's a great PSU with an awesome deal. I have it for 7 months and so far no problems whatsoever. Enjoy it.
