Why does my wireless connection go from 54mbps to zero in seconds

Hello,my wireless connection goes from 54 to practically nothing continually on my laptop but not my main pc

obstructions (walls), microwave oven, cordless phone, cell phone, motor (refrigerator dishwasher), other wireless networks, or interference from a nearby radio transmitter

check the router for priority settings, security settings
replace the router or wireless card

or your providers internet is cutting in and out, have you tried plugging it directly and checking, without the wireless?
