Hi
I was just wondering if the Prices of the "Old" Intel CPUs are going to drop after the release of the Intel Core i7 .
I've just checked the Price of the Intel Quad Q6600 and its 175$ dropping about 20 $ Just after the release of the I7 !
will the Intel Q9550 drop below 300 $ ?
maybe the Q9650 will be 300$ ;) , that would be a day !

It should...and it will... but don't hold your breath. Wouldn't be that soon.. but by that time, I really doubt you will want to get a Q9550 when the mainstream is catching on to i7.

upgrading to the i7 means i have to change my MB/RAMS/and maybe PSU and God knows what else XD
I'll stick with the Old Q9550 for now :D

They wont do it until after the holidays that way people are more encouraged to buy i7.

I'm getting the Q6600 for now ,I'll OC it to 3.0~3.2ghz put a nice fan on it , and when the Price for the QX9650 or the Q9650 (if they made a game that supports 4 cores) drops down in Q1 2009 ( i hope ) i'll get one :)
but as far for the I7 , i don't see myself buying one in the next 1-2 years
