I just got finished putting together a budget build for my mother and sister.. I have the GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8X that was on the older PC that crapped out... The current build has a onboard GPU called ATI Radeon HD 3200 the Mobo is a ASUS M3A78 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131324

Question is would it make sense to thro the old GPU Geforce on this rig? Would it help at all?

You can't. It's an AGP graphics card and your motherboard has no AGP slots.

If it could be used (it can't) a MX 440 would be way slower and less capable than the integrated HD 3200.
