Hello,

I have been on this motherboard for about a year now, problem-free. Just the other day, the power went out in my house (Computer was in sleep mode). I got home and saw all the blinking clocks, and tried to power-on the system, and nothing. Nothing shows up on screen, drives don't spin, lights don't light up.....NOTHING (not even any error beeps)

Here's what I've tried so far:
Removing / installing ram, video card, sata/usb/firewire cables (still nothing)
Power-on with video card, ram removed (still nothing)

I pulled out my old MB/CPU combo (AMD Athlon 64) and connected the power, to test the power supply, and worked....fans spin, drives spin, and get a "beep"

Did something happen with the Intel MB?

My guess:

Power went out.
Your computer was set to power on when power is restored.
Power was restored.
Surge occured in the first fraction of a second which killed your entire computer.

or -

Have you tried anything else in that outlet to confirm it is powered on?
(Could have killed the receptical, or breaker, or something)

Update: dusted off my old Asus A8N & AMD. Combo, and installed...booted up fine. Looks like something went array on the BadAxe2 :(

Any ideas what could have caused this? The. Omputer has always been plugged into a surge protector, so couldn't have been fried from the outlet....

I'd really like to go back to this board again.

Pls help
