Just wondering what happened to all the news of Larrabee. Couple of months back, there were all these rumors, and now... nothing.

Last I heard, it was capable of doing everything except make a cup of coffee.

An interesting idea to use many x86 cores to simulate a GPU.
The rumor mill has it coming out with 32 x86 cores and jumping to 48 in 2010 after a shrink to 45nm.

Ive also heard that scaling starts to fail after 32 cores as well, so there limitations for it.

I'm still more than a little skeptical about larrabe, but it will be interesting to see what it can do.
